Managing Attendance Capacity
In order to provide safe indoor entertainment and maintain social distancing guidelines, we are reducing and managing our daily capacity. All guests visiting must schedule a reservation or pre-purchase a general admission ticket.

Face Mask / Face Covering Required
Following updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), fully vaccinated guests can now visit Newport Aquarium without wearing a mask or physically distancing. Additionally, consistent with state guidelines, guests aged 12 and under may also visit without wearing a mask or physically distancing. -
Respecting others
Those not respectful of our Employees, Guests or environment may be asked to modify their behavior or leave the property.
Focus on Cleanliness
We have increased our rigorous cleaning and sanitation procedures. Guests will have a much higher availability of hand sanitizing locations throughout their visit to help reduce exposure to germs.
Play Safe FAQs
Guests will be expected to wear a mask or face covering while on property. The following guests will no longer be required to wear a mask or physically distance:
Fully vaccinated guests, and
Children 12 and under
Guests not feeling well should choose another day to visit. In addition, employees not feeling well will be sent home.
Guests are encouraged to bring a mask with them when visiting. However, masks will be provided for guests in need. We recommend reviewing the CDC's webpage on appropriate daily-use facemask for additional guidance
Yes, Sharky’s Café will be open.
Yes, capacity will be limited inside our restaurant to allow for adequate social distancing measures.
- Respect each other as well as our employees; verbal abuse of other guests or our employees will not be tolerated.

- Refrain from fighting, horseplay, taunting or threatening remarks & gestures.
- Do not create disruption with behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal.
- Weapons are not allowed on the premises, including knives with blades longer than 3 1/2 inches.
- Follow instructions from employees regarding operations and procedures.
Any Guest who fails to comply with the Terms of Sale, including without limitation those listed above, may at the discretion of Newport Aquarium have their Ticket revoked or confiscated by Newport Aquarium here with no refund of any amount paid therefore. Upon such revocation or confiscation, the applicable Guest and all members of their party shall have no right to remain in, on, or about the Property. Newport Aquarium reserves the right to ban such individuals from future admission to all or any of its Properties or from participation in any Herschend Family Entertainment Activities.
